Overview
The animal behind the card
Males can inflate their necks into impressive white pompoms during courtship, transforming into walking displays that shimmer in the heat. Their diet is opportunistic, mixing seeds, insects and small vertebrates picked up as they patrol.
Every step of this solitary wanderer is a quiet search for food and a cautious scan for danger.
