Clouded Leopard
Neofelis nebulosaYellow
The Clouded Leopard moves through the forests of South and Southeast Asia beneath a coat patterned with large, cloud-shaped blotches. Its low body, broad paws, and exceptionally long tail help it balance on branches while remaining almost invisible among leaves and broken light.

The animal behind the card
Few cats are so well adapted to climbing. Flexible ankles allow it to descend trunks headfirst, hang beneath branches, and move through the canopy with deliberate control. Its canine teeth are unusually long for its size, giving this secretive predator an imposing bite when it catches monkeys, squirrels, birds, or small deer.
Mostly solitary and difficult to observe, it may hunt both in trees and on the forest floor. The loss and fragmentation of mature forest increasingly divide its range, turning every connected corridor of dense vegetation into valuable shelter.
