The Fennec Fox Kit is almost more ear than fox, with enormous pale triangles towering above a tiny face. Those ears, along with a creamy coat and dark eyes, give it an otherworldly cuteness that few can resist.

The animal behind the card
In its desert home, those same ears serve as heat radiators and finely tuned listening dishes that catch the faint scurry of insects and rodents. Kits spend hours in energetic games around the den entrance, kicking up sand as they chase and pounce.
As night falls, they practice the quick, light footwork that adults use to travel over dunes without sinking deeply. Little by little, the Fennec Fox Kit trades helpless adorableness for the nimble independence of a true desert specialist.
